2010 Entertainment® Books

PNWFCU is now selling 2010 Entertainment® books at each of our branches to help support Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Proceeds from each book purchase will go towards one of America's leading pediatric health centers, ensuring that the children in our region receive the best care available.

Each book is loaded with discounts on shopping, dining, attractions and more! At only $20 it's an ideal holiday gift for friends or family. Books are sold at each branch. Click here to find one near you

 

The Spirit of Giving

Children's Cancer Association Toy Drive

PNWFCU and Tracie and Jacob Albin would like to thank Starbucks, Les Schwab, Cold Stone Creamery and everyone else who helped contribute to the outstanding success of PNWFCU’s toy drive benefiting the CCA. Your overwhelming generosity has provided many seriously ill children throughout Oregon and Washington with hundreds toys, games and books.

Donated toys will go to the CCA’s Chemo Pal program. The Chemo Pal program trains and matches trusted adults one-on-one with kids undergoing cancer treatment to help brighten their days in an often scary treatment process. It is during these times that it is helpful to have toys and games on hand to help take the child’s mind off any pain or fear.

During April and May of this year, Jacob collected toys at bins (bins were decorated by members of David Douglas’ Sparrow Club, a social services school group) located at businesses throughout the Northwest. Overall Jacob’s toy drive had an amazing turn out--the CCA reports that it was Jacob's most successful year yet!

Holiday Giving Tree Fundraiser

A huge 'thank you' goes out to everyone who donated to our Holiday Giving Tree Fundraiser this year. Thanks to everyone who participated, we successfully collected all of the items on our local charities' lists. Your donations will be going to: Clark County's Division of Children and Family Services' "Holiday Gifts for Kids-in-Care" program for foster children, Shepherd's Door and Helping Hands Against Violence.

 

 

Volunteer Events

Credit Union Charity Ride

PNWFCU volunteers and over 200 participants helped make the 2009 Credit Union Charity Ride a huge success! This event, held August 15, is a 145 mile charity motorcycle ride around Mt Hood. The total amount raised for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital was $41,000.00, putting the four year accumulative total at $134,000.000! A big thanks goes out to all of this year’s contributors, volunteers and riders!

 

 

Parkrose Cruise-in

PNWFCU was a proud sponsor of the 8th Annual Parkrose Festival & Cruise-in, which was held on August 1st. The main goal of this annual event is to raise funds for scholarships for graduating Parkrose High School seniors, and other community enhancement projects. Last year we raised enough money for 6 well-deserving high school seniors to each receive a $1,000 scholarship! This year’s event included hot rods, antique vehicles, classic cars, motorcycles, pickups, imports and some surprise vehicles. If you didn't make it to the event, be sure to check it out next year!

 

 

Oregon Food Bank

PNWFCU is proud to support the Oregon Food Bank in their mission to fight hunger in Oregon and Clark County Washington; This July 25th, employees from PNWFCU (and family members) spent their Saturday helping repack over 6,000 pounds of frozen corn and dry noodles!
